Step 1: Remove the shower curtain and rod in the first step. Remove any stray items from the area.
Step 2: Raise the shower door into the opening. If it has a frame, have a buddy mask the frame and glue it to the shower walls. Check to see whether the door will fit in your area. Many framed shower doors may be trimmed to fit the shower space if this is not the case. Trim any surplus material using a hacksaw.
Step 3: Check the door for plumpness to the shower walls with a level.
Step 4: Use a pencil to indicate any screw holes while the shower door or frame (if you have a framed door) is still taped in the doorway. Place masking tape in those locations if your tile is dark so the pencil holes can be seen when it comes time to drill.
Step 5: Remove the door and door frame from the entryway in step 5. Drill through the whole markers using the suitable drill bit. Keep the masking tape on the tile or wall to prevent it from cracking. When the drilling is finished, remove the tape.
